The children’s Sunday School lesson for this Sunday comes Ezra 3:10-13. The children will learn that Ezra and the people praised God when the foundations of the Temple were laid. The children will learn that it’s always appropriate to praise God – in sorrow, in joy, and in the many ordinary days which make up our life. When you get home, sit with your child and re-read these verses from your Bible. Ask your child how he/she praised God today!
Today in the children’s stewardship lesson, the children will discuss how they get money . . . from jobs, gifts, chores, etc. They will discuss why it’s important to give some of it back to God.
Did your child receive a
Children’s Bulletin when you
arrived for worship? If they didn’t, please ask for one from the ushers. These bulletins are specially made for the children; one version for preschool children and one version for elementary children. They are available every Sunday.
Each month the “HIS Kids”
focus on a different mission or service project. In November, they will be assembling hygiene kits to give to the folks who come to the Kansas Food Kitchen. Items needed include: washcloths, bar soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shaving cream and razors.
