LUMY 11/16

College Connect

As we are gathering gift cards and information for our college students, we are doing all we can to make sure that everyone is included. However, it is impossible for us to have all the information without you giving it to us. If you have a student in college classes up to 24 years old and their name is not on the following list, we DO NOT have any information on them. Please e-mail Sarah Beard at sarah.beard@lumcmo.org to make sure that we have an address and updated e-mail address for your student. Likewise, if you know of someone who attends our church, fits the description, and may not see this list, please pass the information along. Thank you very much for helping us get this ministry rolling.

Ski Trip Information—note date changes
Who-this trip is for students in 8th-12th-grades (and friends)
What– We are changing the dates to March 18th-21st. The tentative plan will be to travel early on the morning of Wednesday, March 18th. We would get to Winter Park that afternoon/evening and participate in the first worship session that night. We would then ski March 19th, 20th, and 21st, and then either head back through the night on the 21st to arrive home in the early hours of Sunday the 22nd or stay the night on the 21st and head out early on Sunday the 22nd. The plans on heading back depending on how many people commit to this trip. With these new dates you will still miss school on the 18th and the half day on the 19th.
Where-Ski at Winter Park and stay at YMCA of the Rockies.
Why-To have a great time skiing/boarding, hanging out with friends, and growing closer to the Lord.
How Much- Right now the cost is approximately $500, which includes transportation, food, gear, lift tickets, housing, and retreat costs (speaker, band, etc.). If you are bringing your own ski/board gear the cost will be approximately $475, and if you are not skiing the trip will be approximately $350. This is a great time to use some of the fundraising cards to make this a little cheaper.
Due Dates- We need to know soon how many people are going and who those people are. So, we have a due date of $75 by Sunday, November 30th. Monday morning, December 1st, we are locking in our reservation. If we don’t have a financial commitment from you by Sunday, December 1st, you will not be on the list.
Once we know who is going, we’ll plan on having a meeting in December to talk some details. We are so excited about this trip and hope that everyone else is as well. Thanks and let us know if you have any questions.
