Children's Ministries 11/16

Today the children’s Sunday School Bible lesson comes from 2 Chronicles 20:13-21. The
children will learn about Jehoshaphat, who prayed and sang praises to God when his army was going to battle. We too can rely on God to help us with everything at any time! The kids will learn that worship is about being grateful every moment of our lives! Ask your child how we can praise God at church AND at home!

One goal of our Children’s Stewardship lessons is to teach children how to become good stewards. When they learn to be good stewards with the money they have and earn, they learn about planning, delayed gratification, choosing priorities,
and working for what they want. As children begin to feel good about what they have done, their desire to continue increases.
In the past few weeks we focused on raising their level of awareness of money. We’ve talked about the color of money, and what is written on the coins (In God We Trust). Today, we’ll have fun discussing how money is made.

Did your child receive a Children’s Bulletin when you arrived for worship? If they didn’t, please ask for one from the ushers. These bulletins are specially made for the children; one version for preschool children and one version for elementary children. They are
available every Sunday.

A mini workshop on making a family Advent Wreath will be held on Wednesday, November 19th. It will begin after HIS Kids at 7:15 pm and will last approximately 45 minutes. Bring your kids along to this workshop. Sondra Buell will teach you how to make a simple Advent Wreath, hand out short devotions to read with your children, and share some background information about Advent.

Are you bringing your papers to the LUMC paper recycle bin? By doing this you are helping our environment, and making money for the church!
Come and dump your paper here!!!

Here’s an opportunity for Stewardship that’s not money.
Serve the Lord through the classroom and have a great time with some children!
Our 10:25 4th/5th-grade class and our 8:55 Kindergarten class need teachers.
