Shuttle Ministry 11/16

News from the Shuttle Ministry

Who among us:
· Has circled at least once to find a parking space in the last 3 weeks?
· Left a close parking space for a special person or guest?
· Had two or more cars on the hilltop at the same time lately?

Since it takes 30 volunteers a month to drive a morning shuttle, The Shuttle Ministry wants your help to keep us “unemployed”. There are several ways to do this:
· Carpool with a family in your neighborhood.
· Participate in a Personal Shuttle - Find another family or friend who will meet you at the Cobblestone parking lot. One of you park at Cobblestone and the other shuttle everyone up the hill.
· Volunteer to be a Hilltop Helper; wear an orange vest and help those arriving find the open parking spots. To volunteer, contact Mark Buell at 830-5589. Individuals or small groups can do this.
· Large, involved families that need two or more cars, let the youngest park on the perimeter and walk the farthest.

Something to consider: What if we needed a Rescue Squad or Fire Truck on the grounds during a service on Sunday morning? Myron Schmitt, retired fire chief says: “If we can’t get here, we’ll let it burn.” Therefore, we need to keep our narrow streets open! Park over by the crosses or by the Study Center – there are usually open spots there!
Many small choices make a big difference!

A big “Thank you” goes to those who played Hilltop Helper Musical Chairs last Sunday.
