Today the children’s Sunday School Bible lesson comes from 2 Samuel 6:11-15. The children will learn that David brought the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem. Ask your child what was in the Ark of the Covenant. The kids will learn that David loved God so much that he expressed it with his whole body through dance. Today’s lesson helps us all understand that we were made to worship God!
Today we welcome Rev. Leah Hidde-Gregory from Frost United Methodist Church in Frost, Texas. Rev. Leah will be presenting a teacher training to our children’s Sunday School teachers and our “HIS Kids” teachers and shepherds on “How to Bring the Sacred into the Classroom.”
To make this possible, we have 25 people serving as substitutes in our children’s classrooms. THANK YOU, substitutes, for making this important training possible for our regular teachers.
The Children’s Sunday School committee desires to present fun and meaningful lessons for the children as they bring their Sunday School offering to church. Today the children will learn why “In God We Trust” is on our coins.
A mini workshop on making a family Advent Wreath will be held on Wednesday,
November 19th. It will begin after HIS Kids at 7:15 pm and will last approximately 45 minutes. Bring your kids along to this workshop. Sondra Buell will teach you how to make a simple Advent Wreath, hand out short devotions to read with your children, and share some background information about Advent.
