Thank you to all the people who brought children’s books to church for the “HIS Kids” mission/service project to Children’s Mercy Hospital. We were able to give them hundreds of books! Good job and thank you, church family, for sharing your riches!
Each year, for Vacation Bible School, we ask for donations for the kids’ projects. Here is our beginning list. If you have questions, please contact Carrie Swetnam at 792-0572. Please bring the items to Sondra’s office, room 212, at your earliest convenience:
· used men’s ties (no words, please)
· 4-5-inch clay pots
· 2-oz bottles of acrylic paint in a variety of bright colors
· mod podge
· small foam paint brushes
· paint pens in a variety of bright colors
· buttons
· aluminum foil pie pans
Vacation Bible School is July 21-25, 2008, from 9:00 to noon. We have a wonderful missions and service theme this year called God’s Big Backyard. Exciting plans are being made, and we feel God’s presence and calling in our lives as we make plans for all the children!
We need help from lots of people, from all walks of life, and from all generations. See the insert in today’s VIEW. Look it over. Pray about how God can use your gifts and talents. Fill out a form as soon as you can and get the position you want. Drop-off baskets are available in the back of the church.
Tell your families, friends and neighbors that the VBS kids’ registration forms are available on-line at http://www.lumcmo.org/
