Children's Ministries 4/27

This week’s Sunday School lesson comes from Psalm 23 “The Lord is my Shepherd”
Memorizing a part of the Bible may seem like a hard task. But if we use “visual aids,” they help trigger our memory. Help your child learn to recite Psalm 23 this week by learning one verse each day. Be sure to review what your child learned the previous day(s) before adding the new verse. Try these helps:
Day 1 – cotton balls – “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not be in want.” (Psalm 23, NIV)
Day 2 – pillow – “He makes me lie down in green pastures,
Day 3 – bowl of water – “He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.”
Day 4 – bowl of soil – “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”
Day 5 – piece of fruit or food – “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.”
Day 6 – heart – “Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
Day 7 – Return to church with joy, to learn more about your Good Shepherd!
