National Day of Prayer will be observed
Thursday, May 1
Prayer Vigil 9:30 am – 9:30 pm
In a national election year, we are often reminded to exercise our voting rights. This Thursday we have the opportunity to exercise an even more precious right; the right we have as sons and daughters of God to come before Him in prayer. Consider for a moment the weight of God’s promise to us:
Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. Jeremiah 29:12
What does it mean to you to know that the Creator of the Universe desires to listen to your prayers? The thought of a prayer vigil is a bit intimidating to some. In fact, it sounds more complicated than it is. You have the opportunity to sign up to spend 30 minutes in prayer here at the church on May 1. If 30 minutes seems like a long time to pray, prompts will be available to help you make the most of your time in prayer. You can sign up for the prayer vigil after worship today outside the sanctuary or in the foyer of the Family Life Center or by contacting Lora Wiles at Lora.Wiles@lumcmo.org.
Please include the building plans and finances of this church in your prayers as we prepare to vote May 18 on the next step in our building process.
Make a date with your Father on May 1.
You will be blessed.
