Men’s Ministry Highlights:
Contact Jim Jenkinson at 781-7309 for more information about these small groups which allow men to learn and fellowship together:
· Thursday Night Men meets at 7:00 in room 224. Romans, The Letter that Changed the World by popular teacher Tommy Nelson begins later this month. This DVD-driven, no homework required study is great for first-time Bible study participants or long-time Bible students alike!
· Promise Keepers meet Tuesday mornings at 6 am in room 220. Mere Christianity, C.S. Lewis’ classic, is the current study. All men are invited to join in a discussion of this book which provides a powerful presentation of core Christian teachings.
Looking for some hand-on service and fellowship with other men?
· United Methodist Men is a supportive fellowship of men seeking to know Jesus Christ better and to grow spiritually through Bible study and prayer and to engage in specific Christian service. UMM currently meets at Bob Evan’s Restaurant west of I-35 at 6:30 a.m. on the first Sunday of each month. They have numerous ongoing service projects in the church and community. Contact Steve Wood at 415-8176 for more information.
FaithWorks and DIRT (Disaster Response Team) are two mission-minded groups which encourage men (and women) to engage in local and regional hands-on building, repair and relief efforts which vary in length from one day to a week or more. If you have skills to share in service with others, contact Kevin Fisher via the church office, 781-4554, for information about upcoming service projects. A note of caution: these trips are life changing and addictive; go once and you’re hooked on service
