Children's Ministries 2/1/09

February will focus on the stories Jesus told to help us to know how to live:
February 1 – Matthew 25:14-29
February 8 – Luke 10:25-37
February 15 – Luke 15:8-10
February 22 – Luke 12:13-21

February’s Bible memory verse is: “Teach me your way, O Lord.” Psalm 27:11

The Children’s Stewardship Lessons in February will focus “our presence.” (from our time, our talents, our gifts and our presence). During the month of February we will be collecting our money to help purchase children’s Bibles for the sanctuaries.


HIS Kids” will dismiss 15 minutes early on Wednesday, February 25th, due to the Ash Wednesday services, which begin at 7:00. This is a wonderful, meaningful, sensory service for adults and children. The nursery will be open during the service.

The February mission project for “HIS Kids” will be making placemats for Meals on Wheels.

Summer Church Camp

The camp schedules are out! It’s time to plan your church camps dates NOW, before your summer calendar fills up. You can pick up a brochure on the bulletin board outside Sondra’s office, room 212. You can also go on-line to check out the dates www.mocamps.org. To register on-line you need a Church Camp Code from Sondra Buell for the voucher – LUMC to pay ½ the camp fee, up to $125.00 for members’ children. Let’s go to camp!!!!
