Tonight, January 18th, ALL LUMY (6th-12th) will meet at 6:30 for snacks and hangout and LUMY will kick off at 7pm like normal.
You do not want to miss this one. In addition to it being Andrew’s birthday, LUMY will finish at 8:30 and then we’ll head out shortly after that to bowl at Retro Bowl. We will do All You Can Bowl for just $7. If you want anything else, bring money for that.
So, in short;
Who- ALL LUMY
What- Bowling at Retro Bowl after Sunday Night LUMY
When- Sunday, January 18th.
LUMY 6:30-8:30 and Bowling from 9-10:30pm

Bible Study- Wednesday Night Bible Study has begun. 8th-12th-graders meet from 5-6pm in Study Center 4. We get dinner as part of Wednesday night supper before the study and bring it over. 6th-and 7th-graders will meet from 6:15-7pm in Study Center 5 (The LUMY Room). In this Bible Study we will be delving into developing discernment starting with our media influence. For more information check out: http://cpyu.org/Default.aspx.

Chris Tomlin- We are going to see Chris Tomlin in concert on February 3rd. Tickets for the concert will be $25. We need to have your money by today, January 18th, if you want to go. The night of the concert we’ll meet about 5:45 and head out at about 6pm.

2009 LUMY Calendars- The new calendars are in! They are available outside both worship areas upstairs and down. They are also available outside our office and at most LUMY events. Get one today to stay up with the special events, trips, and even some tentative summer dates.

Confirmation- In the Methodist denomination we do something called confirmation for students. It’s a time of learning more about the history and heritage of both Christianity and our denomination. This year we are offering a makeup confirmation. If you or your student never went through confirmation, are in 7th-12th grade, and are interested in participating, please let us know. If we have several students that are interested, we will do a confirmation class for Spring 2009.

New Website - You can also find links and stay updated on our new and improved LUMY website, http://lumy.weebly.com/index.html or you can link from the churches main website. Lumcmo.org. There is a special page just for parent resources.
