Adventures Program Features Silent Auction

The Friday, March 21, session of Liberty Adventures in Learning features the group’s annual silent auction fundraiser. Those attending are asked to bring an item that they no longer need or use but is in good condition. This is the group’s only fundraiser. Sponsored by Shepherd’s Center of the Northland and Liberty Ministerial Alliance,
Adventures meets in our Family Life Center at LUMC the third Friday monthly.

At 10 a.m. class topics include “Forgiveness..A Practical Process” with Dr. Neita Geilker; Genealogical Research with Cindy Tucker; and Container Gardening with Master Gardener Cass Sullivan. At 11 a.m. Celia Reed, administrator at the Veterans Home in Cameron, will discuss the home as well as VA benefits; Chuck Spinoza of Mid-Continent Library will lead a discussion on “Neither Wolf Nor Dog” by Kent Nerburn; and Dr. Michael Olmstead, interim pastor at 2nd Baptist Church in Liberty, will speak about Good Friday.

Lunch follows at noon. Class registration fee is $1.50; lunch $3.50. Lunch reservations are requested by calling Nancy at 781-1178 by March 19. All ages are welcome to attend these programs.
