Adventures in Learning-- April 18

Larry Rice will present a program on antiques at the April 18 session of Liberty Adventures in Learning at 11 a.m.. He will discuss various items provided by those in attendance, giving possible history and information about each item. The Adventures program, sponsored by Shepherd’s Center of the Northland and Liberty Ministerial Alliance, meets the third Friday September through May in the Family Life Center here at LUMC.

The session begins at 9:15 a.m. with blood pressure checks, and coffee fellowship time. At 10 a.m. three classes will be offered: Digital Camera 101 with J.J. Greenwood; Dr. Shavonne Danner talking about Liberty Hospital’s Pain Center; and Father Pat Tobin, St. Theresa Catholic Church, Parkville, discussing “World Hunger and Thirst Through the Eyes of Mother Teresa.”A meat loaf dinner will be served at noon by members of 1st Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Class registration is $1.50; lunch is $3.50, and lunch reservations should be made by April 16 by calling Nancy at 781-1178. Plan to attend, and bring a friend.
