Adventues in Learning 5/4

Adventures program meets May 16

Liberty Adventures in Learning program meets for the final time this season on Friday, May 16, in LUMC’s Family Life Center. Classes offered at 10 a.m. include Carol Baker’s presentation on history of our neighboring city, Lexington; Chaplain Phillip Pringle, Staff Commander, MO Army Reserve Chaplains, will talk about Armed Forces Day and the chaplaincy; and Scandinavia on a Shoestring by Sherrill Aubrey and Nancy Leisinger, discussing their tour to St. Petersburg, Russia, and Scandinavia. At 11 a.m. Tom Brandom will talk about our Indian heritage.

Activities begin at 9:15 a.m. Friday, May 16, with blood pressure checks, 9:30 a.m. coffee fellowship and announcements, classes at 10 a.m. and Tom Brandom’s presentation at 11 a.m., followed by lunch at noon. Class fee is $1.50; lunch is $3.50, and lunch reservations need to be made by May 14 by calling Nancy at 781-1178.

The Adventures program is sponsored by Shepherd’s Center of the Northland and the Liberty Ministerial Alliance. The public is invited to attend.
