LUMY 5/25

The new summer calendars are currently available. You can pick them up at any LUMY event, at the FLC Entrance, and at the front entrance to the Church. They have all the dates of activities and events for the summer. Please pick one up so you are in the know. The schedule is kind of crazy for the next few weeks. Please note the changes below:

Sunday, May 25th-NO LUMY tonight due to Memorial Day Weekend.

Sunday, June 1st- this is the First Summer LUMY. 6-7pm in the FLC/Wesley Hall. This is for students that just finished 6th grade through recent graduates. Don’t miss this night. Also, after LUMY we will have the first Summer LUMY After-Party at Roger and Darla Mose’s house from 7-9. So, if you are going to the After Party, drop off at 6pm and pick up at 9:30pm at the FLC/Wesley Hall. Bring your swimsuit and towel if you want to swim. Appropriate swimwear required (girls-1piece or tank-ini.)

New summer LUMY shirts will hopefully be in by Sunday, June 1st, so please plan on coming and picking them up at LUMY that night. Also, LUMY is having a blowout sale on all our extra t-shirts and other “merchandise.” $5 for any old t-shirt and $3 for any of the water bottles. These will be available in the LUMY office and at the June 1st LUMY.

This summer we will be having two different studies in addition to Sunday Night LUMY. One will be for students going into 9th-11th grade and the other will be for the new seniors and recent grads.
9th-11th-Graders- We will be doing a 6-week study on Christianity and World Religions. We will meet Monday mornings at 9:00am at Andrew and Sarah Beard’s home (40 S. Jewell) on 6/2, 6/16, 6/30, 7/14, 7/28, 8/4. Basically every other Monday.
12th-13th-Graders- We will be doing a 6-week study on Prayer called when God’s People Pray. We will meet Wednesday mornings also at the Beards’ home (40 S Jewell) on 6/4, 6/18, 7/2, 7/16, 7/30, 8/6. Basically every other Wednesday.

The Youth Sunday School hour is from 9:30-10:30am in the Study Center. 6th grade meets in the former garage of the Study Center, 7th & 8th grade meets in Study Center 4, and 9th-12th grade meets in the LUMY room. If your family worships at 9:00am Contemporary, I would recommend you attend the first part of worship, then head over at 9:30 for Sunday School.
