The other day, one of our women, Lila Weatherford, was volunteering at InAsMuch food pantry, which is her custom. She tripped and fell, hitting her head on the curb. In the Liberty ER, as she was being sutured by the attending physician, Lila’s son Paul, a cop, looked at her wound which crowned her
rapidly coloring “goose egg” and commented, “Mom, you have curb appeal.” Cop humor is decidedly different, but he made a point.
Lila has curb appeal. She always looks just like a Macy’s ad. But it’s more than that. Lila is constantly out in ministry, serving God in numerous ways, making the world better. There’s nothing she wouldn’t do for the love of Jesus and His children. Lila makes the faith look good to those around her. She has curb appeal for the faith.
I hope that all of us live the winsome witness of Lila Weatherford.
