Children's Ministries 12/7

Children’s Sunday School Lessons for December:

December’s B.i.G. Idea: We believe that the story of Jesus’ birth in Bethlehem shows us that Jesus is the promised Messiah.
December’s B.i.G.Theme: The Story of Bethlehem
December’s Bible Verse: Matthew 2:5 “He will be born in Bethlehem.”

One goal of the weekly stewardship lessons for our children is to raise the level of awareness that God asks us to give. We give faithfully and regularly out of obedience to God.

Children’s Stewardship lessons for December will
focus on the various ways we can be good Stewards.
Giving of their prayers
Giving of their presence
Giving of their gifts
Giving of their service

Children’s Christmas Program will be Sunday,
December 14th, at the Liberty Community Center
Performing Arts Theater. It will begin at 6:30 pm. The ROCK handbell choir will perform, the HIS Kids will sing, and the Sunday School children will perform the musical play entitled “Simple Gifts of Christmas.”
Parents, please bring 1 dozen Christmas cookies to the community center for the cookie receptions following the program. Everyone is invited to attend!

In conjunction with “HIS Kids”, LUMC families will go Christmas Caroling on Wednesday, December 17th, from 6:00pm to 7:15pm. Meet in the Family Life Center at 5:45. Note: “HIS Kids” Cherubs (preschoolers) will not go caroling unless their parent attends with them. We will have regular “HIS Kids” classes for the Cherubs.
Following caroling, you are invited to stay for a few minutes for hot cocoa and candy canes!

Notice: There will be no Sunday School on Sunday, December 28th. Enjoy worship as a family. There will be nursery care.
