We’re able to provide childcare for most adult small group meetings. Make your reservations in advance (3 days is appreciated) by calling 781-4554 x112.

College Connect $5 Gift Cards Needed
Many college students still consider us to be their church home. Help us stay connected with them by supporting College Connect. Donate $5 gift cards from any chain stores (Subway, McDonalds, Target, etc) which we’ll include in care packages along with notes of encouragement. This is an ongoing effort, so gift cards will always be welcomed and appreciated. They can be left at the church office or in a black LUMY box located outside the youth office, room 206, or outside the entrance to the Family Life Center. We also need college addresses for those from our congregation ages 17-24 who are taking any college classes. If you’d like to help with this ministry in other ways, contact Lora Wiles.

New Couples’ Small Group
at 10:30 on Sundays
Looking for an opportunity to meet other couples, enjoy social activities and engage in meaningful small group studies? Couples of all ages are invited to attend a new small group on Sundays at 10:30 am in room 110. Planned study topics include Making Love Last a Lifetime, Christianity and World Religions, Christianity’s Family Tree, and Prayer. No homework in this group. Come learn, grow and fellowship together.

Register Now for Grief Support Offerings
Grief and the Holidays: Holidays can be especially painful when a loved one is absent. One-day workshops on Grief and the Holidays will be offered Thurs., Nov. 6, at 6 pm and Mon., Nov. 10, at 2 pm for those seeking help with holiday grief. These workshops will be led by Grief Counselor Dorothe Lowrie and LUMC’s Ingrid McDonald. Register Now to avoid cancellation of the group.

Grief Support: A Grief Support Group will begin meeting Mondays at 2 pm, Nov 17—Dec 29. We all grieve in different ways and with our own timing. This group, led by Grief Counselor Dorothe Lowrie, is for anyone who would like help coping with grief, regardless of how long ago a loss occurred. Register Now to avoid cancellation of the group.

Seasoned Citizens Luncheon and Fellowship
A growing number of LUMC senior citizens are spicing up the middle of their month with a potluck luncheon on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 11:45 in the Study Center. All seniors are invited to bring a dish to share and enjoy a time of games or a movie after lunch. No reservation required.
Faces of Adoption
In celebration of National Adoption Month, we’ll be celebrating adoptees of all ages and families touched by adoption on November 23 during worship. We’d love to honor your adoption story in a “faces of adoption” display. Submit a photo of yourself, your adopted child, or your family by leaving it in the church office or emailing to Lora.Wiles@lumcmo.org before the November 9 deadline. You Can Make Christmas a Reality for a
Local Family in Need
Love Inc (in the name of Christ), a local assistance agency, needs help meeting the needs of families in our community. Now is the time to sign on as a Christmas Angel for one of these families. We’re collecting names now of individuals and groups who willing to meet this need. Families will be assigned in the next few weeks.
