The Children’s Sunday School lesson for September 28 is from Genesis 11:1-9. The children will learn how people all over the world are different but special. The Bible story is about the Tower of Babel. Ask your child about the tower. Ask your child why God made all the people talk in different languages.
Our annual fun-filled Family Day at Wilderness Camp in Lawson, MO is coming up! Mark your calendar for October 5th. A great lunch, family photos, fishing, hiking, games, hayrides, s-mores, prizes and music will fill the afternoon. Sign up in the narthex/foyer after worship!
Hamburgers, hotdogs, and water will be provided. Please bring chips or a side dish.
VBS 5th-graders from 2007 . . . . remember swimming laps during VBS to raise money for the new pool? Well, it’s finished and it is beautiful. Join us at the picnic so you can see it!
Acolyte Brush-up
Nancy Hammond and Davonna Smitley, acolyte coordinators, will be hosting an acolyte “brush-up” for our 5th-, 6th-, and 7t -graders on Sunday morning, October 5th, at 9:45 am in the upstairs sanctuary. This will take place during Sunday School, but won’t take the whole hour, so you can do both. Also, if you are in 4th through 7th grade and have never received acolyte training, but would like to serve as an acolyte, please come to this “brush-up” meeting and we will give you the whole run-down.
Our Director of Children’s Ministries is writing weekly mini lessons for the children on stewardship. These short lessons will be taught while the children’s offering is being collected. Parents of elementary children, you might ask your child about the special guest speaker who visited today.
The classes for Created by God have been postponed due to scheduling conflicts of the guest presenter.
