Children's Ministries 8/10

The Children’s Sunday School Lesson for August 10 comes from 2 Kings, 5:1-14. This lesson is about Naaman. God instructed him to go and dip in the river. The children will learn how a servant girl helped him get the help he needed. Be an encourager for your child when he/she is helping you. Here’s a fun song to sing with your child, to the tune of “The Farmer in the Dell.” A helper I can be. A helper I can be. God can use a helper, just like you or me.

3rd-Grade Bible Presentation
Something brand new is happening this year for our 3rd-graders. Third- grade Bible Sunday service and presentation will be Sunday, September 7th at 12:00 noon. But wait, there's more exciting news! The Friday night before, Sept. 5th, LUMC will host a 3rd-grade lock-in for all 3rd-graders that wish to attend. We’ll have an overnight of lessons, food, fellowship, fun & games to help them learn all about the Bibles they will be receiving on Sunday.
To do something this fun, we need some help! If you would like to help us plan any part of this exciting and fun night, please let us know by
e-mailing Amy Steinbeck at 5steinbecks@covad.net.

Kids, students, and teachers. . .
Please bring your backpack, school bag, horn case, gym bag, and/or lunch box with you to worship on August 17th.
LUMC will host a Blessing of the Backpacks at the worship services. For the contemporary services, bring your child with you to worship for the blessing before they go to Sunday School.

Promotion Sunday for the children will be August 24th. On that Sunday, the kids will report to their new grade –level classrooms.
