LUMY 7/20

No Sunday Night LUMY tonight Sunday, July 20th. A group of us are in Guatemala. Please continue to pray for us, our travels, the work that we do, and our health. Sunday Night LUMY will be back on Sunday, July 27th. We are having an After Party that night (location TBA) and that will be our last After Party. So, you don’t want to miss it. More details to come. We will need someone to help with Sign In/Out and attend the After Party that night, so please let me know if you can help.
End of Summer LUMY Celebration- We are having our End of Summer LUMY Celebration on Sunday August 3rd, from 6-8pm in the FLC/Wesley Hall. This will be a LUMY night where we are inviting your families to see what LUMY is like and to hear about all we did during the summer. We will look back at pictures, videos, and share stories about some of the great things that happened this summer. YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS NIGHT!! Once again, we’ll have more details down the road.

This summer we have been doing two different studies in addition to Sunday Night LUMY. One is for students going into 9th-11th grade and the other is for the new Seniors and recent Grads. Since the meetings are at our house, we need an additional permission slip filled out. You can pick up one of the permission slips at LUMY or from our office (rm 206) at church.
9th-11th-Graders- We are doing a study on Christianity and World Religions. We meet Monday mornings at 9:00am at the Beards’ home (my house, 40 S. Jewell) on 7/28, 8/4. Basically every other Monday.
12th-13th-Graders- We are doing a study on Prayer called when God’s People Pray. We meet Wednesday mornings at the Beards’ home (my house again, 40 S. Jewell) on 7/16, 7/30, 8/6. Basically every other Wednesday.

Upcoming Events
July 17th-25th- A group from our church including many LUMY students will be in Guatemala. Please pray for safe travels.
Sunday, July 20th- NO LUMY. We are in Guatemala on a mission trip.
Sunday, July 27th- Sunday Night LUMY and After Party. Location TBA.
Thursday, July 31st- Worlds of Fun trip with Bridge and LUMY 101 (incoming 6th-and 7th-graders). Meet at the Study Center at 9:30am and pick up at 5:30pm. You are responsible for your own ticket. Bring money for food.
Sunday August 3rd- End of Summer LUMY Celebration. Families invited to LUMY that night. 6-8pm. More details to come.
Wednesday, August 6th- Cool Crest and Sheridan’s. 6th-12th grade. 5-10pm. Muy fun. More details to come.
Sunday, August 24th- LUMY Parent Meeting. 6th-7th-Grade Parents from 5-6pm & 8th-12th-Grade parents from 6:30-7:15pm.
August 29th-30th- Rock the Light Concert and Lock-In. More details on the way.
