Youth Mission Trip 6/22

Wow! Thank you to those of you who are supporting out Guatemala mission trip financially and prayerfully. We have been preparing our hearts for this trip for nearly a year, and it is finally less than a month away! We are so excited to be partnering with our church for a mission as wonderful as this. Scripture says in James 1:27, “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world ,” We pray that we will be fulfilling this scripture on July 17th. We will be going out to a group of orphans to teach them about the love that our Lord has for them! We ask again that you will partner with us in prayer by picking up a box on the coffee sales tables or at the front desk.
We wanted to let you know where we are financially for this trip. Each team member has paid out of pocket and we are still in need of just a little more money. We have it figured out that if each person in our church would support us with $5 we would have just enough to go. Thank you for partnering with us on this mission, as we have had so many people donate and make goods to bring to these people. We rejoice that God has given different people abilities that speak into the lives of people across the world, even if they are not going on this trip themselves. As Jesus commanded his disciples to go out and make disciples of all nations, we are so pleased that we are able to carry out his commandments. We thank God that our church gives our youth the opportunity to not just reach people locally, through Dirt Team, the food kitchen, Faithworks, nationally to New Orleans, Chicago; but to also go internationally!! What a blessing to serve in other countries as well as our own!
