LUMY 6/8

No Sunday Night LUMY tonight, June 8th. Many of us are in Panama City Beach at Bigstuf camp. We will resume Sunday Night LUMY next week, Sunday, June 15th. It is Father’s Day that Sunday, but we will still have LUMY that night. Please spend the appropriate time with your father/family and come out to youth that night. There is no After Party that night, though. LUMY will be from 6-7pm in the FLC/Wesley Hall. You do not want to miss it.

This summer we will be having two different studies in addition to Sunday Night LUMY for students going into 9th-11th grade and one for the new Seniors and recent Grads. Since the meetings are at our house, we need an additional permission slip filled out. You can pick up one of the permission slips at LUMY or from our office
(room 206) at church.
9th-11th-Graders- We will be doing a 6-week study on Christianity and World Religions. We will meet Monday mornings at 9:00am at the Beards’ home (40 S. Jewell) on 6/16, 6/30, 7/14, 7/28, 8/4. Basically every other Monday. Even if you missed this past week, please come the next time we meet on 6/16.
12th-13th-Graders- We will be doing a 6-week study on Prayer called When God’s People Pray. We will meet Wednesday mornings at the Beards’ home (40 S. Jewell) on 6/18, 7/2, 7/16, 7/30, 8/6. Basically every other Wednesday. Even if you missed this past week, please come the next time we meet on 6/18.

The new summer calendars are currently available. Please pick one up so you are in the know. You can pick them up at any LUMY event, at the FLC Entrance, and at the Front Entrance to the Church. Here are some upcoming events:
Thursday, June 5th-Wednesday, 11th- 29 of us are going to Bigstuf Camp in Panama City Beach, Florida. Pray for us while we are there and traveling back and forth.
Sunday, June 8th-NO LUMY because we are at Bigstuf.
Saturday, June 14th- Volleyball at William Jewell College. This is for students that just finished 6th-recent grads.
6-9pm. Meet at the FLC/Wesley Hall.
Sunday, June 15th- LUMY 6-7pm. FLC/Wesley Hall.
Monday, June 16th- Bridge Bowl and Movie. Bridge is the ministry for incoming 6th-graders during the summer between their 5th and 6th grade. Meet at the Study Center at 11am. Bowling, lunch back at the Study Center, and watching Surf’s Up. Pick up at 3pm.
Tuesday, June 17th- Worlds of Fun. New 8th-Graders-Recent Grads. Meet at 9:45am. Leave at 10:00am. Back to church about 5:15pm. More details to come.
Thursday, June 19th- 101 BBQ and Swim. LUMY 101 is for students going into 7th grade. We’ll meet at 10:30 at the Study Center and head to the Van Blacks House. We’ll be back about 2:30. More details to come.

The Youth Sunday School hour is from 9:30-10:30am in the Study Center. 6th grade meets in the former garage of the Study Center, 7th & 8th grade meets in Study Center 4, and 9th-12th grade meets in the LUMY room.
