The Sunday School lesson for June 22 comes from John 6:1-14. Ask your child about the little boy who shared his lunch of fish and bread. Ask about the number 5000.
Sponsor a Child for VBS
Vacation Bible School is just around the corner. Besides serving our own children and helping with their spiritual development and love for Jesus, all while having fun, LUMC makes a special effort to invite children who do not have a church home. We want all kids to know Christ!
Today, we provide you with an opportunity to help one/some of these children! It costs approximately $15.00 per child to send them to VBS. If you can help send a child to Bible School, we have prepared VBS “Sponsor a Child” envelopes. Fill it up, say a prayer, and drop it into the offering plate or bring it to the church office. Thank you so very much!
Totally Awesome Tree House for Sale
Excitement is bubbling up everywhere!
Some of our United Methodist Men built a free-standing tree house for our God’s Big Backyard VBS assembly area. It is totally awesome! Would you like to have it in your backyard after VBS? What a KEEPSAKE! We will auction if off at the all-church picnic on the 27th. Proceeds will go towards the VBS missions offering.
Pet Blessing
The first-ever LUMC Pet Blessing is coming up Wednesday evening, July 9th on the Study Center Lawn, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. Bring your pet (gerbil, rabbit, cat, lizard, goldfish, dog, all pets welcome) up to church! Be ready to tell us your pet’s name and why you like your pet. Everyone is welcome; children and a parent/caretaker are asked to attend together. No registration is required, just show up for the fun! Following the blessing, cool drinks will be served.
