Did you have a great holiday season? I don’t know about you but I’m glad to be back at the office. Holidays are wonderful, but a routine is a framework on which we can hang a normal life.
Bishop Schnase, our resident bishop for Missouri, has written a book entitled “Five Practices of Fruitful Congregations.” This morning we’re beginning a series of messages using the bishop’s topics as a stimulus for our worship.
Why would we do that? We certainly desire to be the best we can be. Much effort and many resources pour into our “church on the hill.” We want to do our best with them. But our chief reason is that in every way we want to represent and worship our Lord as best we are able. This helps us to be truly Christian, truly human and truly Methodist.
Come along with us as we explore what the Bible has to say about these topics and what our response, as a corporate body, might be.
